College Flag

Standardized in 2000

2000 – present

Standard Flag

The college crest and flag were standardized in 2000 by a committee of eminent Old Boys under the presidentship of Mr. Gamini Gunawardhena, and officially accepted by the Old Boys' Union and the college. The standardization covers the art work, colours, permitted sizes, and approved uses of the flag.

Art Works

Two standard art works were produced as part of the standardization:

  • Standard coloured logo — the full-colour version of the crest for official use.
  • Standard line art crest — a single-colour line drawing for cases where full-colour printing is not possible.

Standardized Sizes

Prescribed dimensions for the crest and flag cover all standard uses — from letterheads to display flags. Reference diagrams specifying exact proportions were produced by the 2000 committee.

Standardized Colours of the Flag

Precise colour specifications (including the maroon, blue, yellow, and white bands) are documented in the standardization papers. Any reproduction must exactly match these specifications.

Standardized Uses of the Flag

Guidelines govern permitted ceremonial and institutional uses of the college flag. These include display height requirements, approved occasions, and restrictions on modification or combination with other insignia.
